Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Game Announced

Final Fantasy XIII heroine to appear once again in new title

Square Enix has announced at a Tokyo event that it will release a new game titled Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII featuring the heroine Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Series director Motomu Toriyama stated that this entry in the Final Fantasy XIII series would conclude Lightning's saga.

The game centers around a 13-day countdown until the end of the world, and players must save humanity within 13 days and 13 nights. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is slated to be released in 2013 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
