Maiko Fujita to Perform Hiiro no Kakera 2nd Season's Theme Song

The official website for the second season of the Hiiro no Kakera television anime series, Hiiro no Kakera Dai-ni-Shō, announced on Monday that Maiko Fujita will be performing the second season's theme song "Takanaru." The single containing the theme song will ship in Japan on October 17. Fujita previously sang the theme song and an insert song for the first season of the series, which aired in April-June.
The official website also revealed that the second season will premiere on Tokyo MX on September 30. Nico Nico Douga and the Bandai Channel will both also stream the anime online in Japan.
Bob Shirohata (Gravitation, Hetalia - Axis Powers) will again direct the second season at Studio DEEN. The television anime adapts Idea Factory's romance game of the same name for female players.
Crunchyroll streamed the first series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks will release the first season on home video.
