Fate/extra CCC RPG's Karna Profiled in Short Movie

posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Fate/stay night-inspired game to ship in February with opening by SHAFT, Kanon Wakeshima

The official YouTube channel for Marvelous AQL began streaming a short promotional movie for Fate/Extra CCC's Servant character Karna, voiced by Kōji Yusa (Psychic Squad's Hyoubu, Is This a Zombie?'s King of the Night).

The studio SHAFT (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Nisemonogatari) is producing the opening anime for the game. Kanon Wakeshima wrote, scored, and performed the game's theme song, "Sakura Meikyū" (Sakura Labyrinth).

Marvelous AQL had planned to release this role-playing game inspired by the Fate franchise this past spring, but it has been delayed to this winter and then delayed again to February 21, 2013. Marvelous Entertainment already released the first Fate/Extra game for the PSP in 2010, and Aksys Games released the game in North America last November.

This game will come in two editions: a standard edition for 6,279 yen (about US$81.20), and a limited edition Type-Moon Virgin White Box for 10,479 yen (US$135.50). The Virgin White Box version will bundle a Saber Bride figma figure, a "visual works" illustration collection, and Sakura Tange's limited Saber character CD with three songs. People who order early will also receive the "Virgin Bride" booklet, and first-pressing editions will include four super-deformed Servant character stickers designed by Rco Wada.
