Hatsune Miku Floats on Fog Screen Made From Humidifier

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Everyday objects turn humidifier into fog projector

Niconico user shige-ruuu uploaded a video on January 2 to demonstrate how he turned a humidifier into a projector screen using everyday tools. In the video, shige-ruuu uses the steam video screen to play a Hatsune Miku music video as if it was floating in midair.

The builder modified the humidifier to increase and diffuse its output using a hose, a plastic bottle, and other items. The result is a fog that was translucent, but still thick enough to display Hatsune Miku.

Several homegrown Vocaloid-related projects were created over the last few years. A builder who goes by the name "RozenZebet" created a Hatsune Miku doll robot and a Kobe University Nakamura Laboratory researcher developed a home operating system using Vocaloid Hatsune Miku to control his appliances.
