Hear Lady Gaga's Producer Zedd & Hatsune Miku Join Forces

livetune's Hatsune Miku remix of "Spectrum" added as bonus to Zedd's major debut

Zedd, the 23-year-old producer who remixed several of Lady Gaga's songs and is producing her next album, is collaborating with the virtual idol Hatsune Miku for his own Japanese major debut "Spectrum." Hatsune Miku will sing in English for a bonus track on the Japanese version of the single.

The collaboration came about because kz, a producer who uses Hatsune Miku vocals under his unit name livetune, is a fan of Zedd. He remixed the song "Spectrum" from Zedd's Clarity album and created a new version with Hatsune Miku vocals. According to Sports Nippon newspaper, Zedd was so excited to hear the new version, saying that it sounds like a Japanese person singing in English and calling it the "greatest."

The "Spectrum" single goes on sale in Japan on February 27. On his Twitter account, kz notes that is the same day that his mix of T.M. Revolution's "Invoke" goes on sale, and one day before the Macross 30: Ginga o Tsunagu Utagoe game ships with the theme song he produced.
