PlayStation Japan posted a new trailer on Thursday for its upcoming PlayStation Vita game Soul Sacrifice. The "this is super magic battle action!" compilation trailer features battle scenes, and the game's character customization and f-player multiplayer mode functions.
In Soul Sacrifice, players take on the role of a slave who is rescued from sacrifice by a mysterious "Golam Book." The player can use magic, but a sacrifice must be made to do so, which can be anything from jewels to body parts. As magic users become more powerful, they lose their human appearance and will eventually turn into the monsters that inhabit the world.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is producing the title developed by Marvelous AQL. The game is helmed by Keiji Inafune (Megaman, Street Fighter) and features composers Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Kid Icarus: Uprising) and Wataru Hokoyama (Afrika, Resident Evil 5). The game will ship in Japan on March 7, in North America on April 30, and in Europe on May 1.
The premium edition of the game in Japan comes with a cosmic red PlayStation Vita model, a pouch, a strap, a cloth, and headphones for 24,980 yen (about US$268).
