Takara Tomy has not confirmed Licca-chan collaboration with virtual diva

The online retailer Shibuya Mokei Hobby Shop posted a pre-order for a Hatsune Miku-themed Licca-chan doll on April 26. However, the link was removed soon after. The doll was listed for release on July 13 at the price of 2,100 yen (about US$21). Takara Tomy, the maker of Licca-chan, has not confirmed the collaboration.

The Licca-chan doll (pictured below) is a dress-up doll aimed towards girls and produced by Takara Tomy. Licca-chan's popularity is often compared to that of the United States' Barbie doll, and it has spawned multiple anime adaptations. Licca-chan was originally designed by manga artist Miyako Maki, who is the wife of anime and manga creator Leiji Matsumoto.
