Sony Streams Puppeteer Trailers Ahead of E3
posted on by Karen Ressler
The official North American blog for Sony PlayStation began streaming a trailer on Wednesday for its English release of the PlayStation 3 game Puppeteer. Sony will be showing the game at its booth at E3 next week. The game is currently available for pre-order, and it will ship on September 10.
In addition, the company is streaming four gameplay videos featuring different interchangeable heads for the hero. In order they are: ninja, knight, wrestler, and pirate. The knight and ninja head trailers were previously streamed in Japanese.
Pre-order bonuses include various DLC, the original soundtrack from Patrick Doyle, exclusive PSN character avatars, and a dynamic custom theme featuring hand-drawn concept art.
The action title follows a young boy named Kūtarō who was carried away and transformed into a puppet. After literally losing his head to the maleficent Moon Bear King, the hero discovers a very special pair of scissors to help him on his "harrowing" adventure to find his head and eventually, his way home.
Puppeteer offers different heads for Kūtarō in gameplay. As Kūtarō, the player must collect and keep certain heads, which hold special powers to change the world and unlock bonus stages. There are four special heads of the legendary "Moon Heroes," who fought to protect the Moon Goddess, eventually overthrown by the game's villain, Moon Bear King. As Kūtarō, collecting these legendary heads is necessary for defeating the Moon Bear King's twelve generals and saving the Moon Realm.
