Learn English With Voice Actress Kana Hanazawa in 3DS Game
posted on
Game publisher media5 opened a website on Saturday for an English-teaching video game titled Nanami to Issho ni Manabo! English Jōtatsu no Kotsu (Let's Learn English With Nanami! The Basics to Improving Your English) for the Nintendo 3DS. The cover of the game's package tells customers that “Number 1 popular voice actress” Kana Hanazawa (Kobato., Steins;Gate) will be playing the role of Nanami, the navigator of the game.
The company also posted a promotional video for the game:
In the game, players learn English with guidance from Nanami, who also cheers the player on. The character has a total of 25 different "reward" voices for when the player does well in exercises (Hanazawa does not voice the English-speaking portions of the exercises). By studying and completing different exercises, the player can also receive different costumes to dress Nanami in. Using the social network service function of the game, players can challenge other studying players to "learning battles".
The game will be released in Japan on August 22 for the price of 3,800 yen (about US$38). First copies of the game will contain a survey postcard. Those who send the postcard in by October will be automatically entered in a raffle to win goods signed by Kana Hanazawa. 20 people will receive an autograph board signed by Hanazawa, while one lucky winner will receive a script for the game signed by the voice actress.
