Action RPG adapting Hiroshi Fukuda's manga to ship on September 19

Namco Bandai Games began streaming a television ad on Tuesday for the Mushibugyō action role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game adapts Hiroshi Fukuda's manga and anime of the same name.

The game includes five main playable characters: Jinbee Tsukishima, Hibachi, Shungiku Koikawa, Tenma Ichinotani, and Mugai. Players will be able to fight giant bugs using ninja techniques and swords.

A physical regular edition and a downloadable version of the game will be available for 5,980 yen (about US$60) on September 19. Those who pre-order the game will receive a set of four stickers.

Hiroshi Fukuda's original Mushibugyō action manga is set in Edo-era Tokyo in the early 1700s. The eighth shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune creates a new magistrate unit — Mushibugyō — to protect the people in the heart of the city. Each member is a specialist with unique fighting skills.

The anime adaptation of Fukuda's manga began broadcasting in Japan in April. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.
