Double Helix Games developing new game for XBox Live/PSN/Steam out in early 2014

Video game company CAPCOM announced at San Diego Comic Con on Thursday that it will release a new Strider game for XBox Live, PlayStation Network, and on Steam in early 2014. The new game will be the first new game in the franchise since Strider 2 was released in arcades in 1999 and on the PlayStation in 2000. Double Helix Games is developing the new game.

CAPCOM released the original Strider side-scrolling platform arcade game 1989, and the game was released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System the same year. The game has also spawned a manga adaptation.

Update: CAPCOM has released a trailer for the new game. The trailer lists that the game will be available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
