Evangelion and Japanese Sword Exhibit to Travel Through Europe in 2014

posted on by Bamboo Dong
Exhibit includes 3 meter Sword of Longinus and other hand-forged Evangelion-inspired swords.

The official Twitter of the All Japan Swordsmith Association announced that the "Evangelion and Japanese Swords Exhibit" will be headed to Europe in 2014.

Back in 2012, swordsmiths forged a 3 meter long replica of the Sword of Longinus for the original "Evangelion and Japanese Swords Exhibit" at the Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum. The exhibit has since traveled to several cities in Japan, with its current residency being the Seki Sword Tradition Museum in Seki City, Gifu; and ending this December at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo.

The exhibit contains not only the Spear of Longinus, but also several swords that inspired by the franchise.

So far, no other details have been announced about the upcoming European tour, but we'll keep our eyes peeled for dates and times. Our fingers are crossed for a stop-over in North America, too.
