Meiji University to Host National Pokemon Summit

Meiji University will be hosting a National Pokémon Summit next month. The event is being organized with the cooperation of several university Pokémon fan groups, and even has official support—Pokemon development director Junichi Masuda even linked to the event on his Twitter.

The summit will be held at Meiji's Nakano Campus in Tokyo, and will cover such topics as Pokémon's influence on education, the difference in playing styles between children and adults, Pokémon as a communication tool, and the franchise's influence on society.
