Former KAT-TUN Member Kōki Tanaka Is An Otaku, Too!

Former KAT-TUN idol group member Kōki Tanaka wrote on Twitter that he's a self-professed otaku. The actor and singer proved his geekdom, sharing his recent favorites including Danganropa anime series and Attack on Titan manga. He also likes reading NisiOisin's novel series. Tanaka also wrote that while he reads Jump series, he also likes Gang King, Pupa, I am a Hero, Ima wa no Kuni no Alice, Terra Formars, Blue Exorcist, Montage, Ah, and many more including girl's comics like NANA and Boys Over Flowers.
When it comes to cosplay, Tanaka admitted he likes to dress up too. Tanaka has cosplayed as Attack on Titan's Levi, One Piece's Portgas D. Ace and Law, Final Fantasy X's Auron, and Tokyo Ghoul's Kaneki. He shared a couple of pictures on his Twitter account.
The KAT-TUN boy band inspired their own series of mobile anime shorts last year starring singers Kazuya Kamenashi, Junnosuke Taguchi, Koki Tanaka, Tatsuya Ueda, and Yūichi Nakamaru. Another former KAT-TUN member, Jin Akanishi, landed in hot water with his agency Johnny & Associates after marrying his pregnant girlfriend, actress/singer Meisa Kuroki in 2012. Akanishi didn't inform his agency of plans to marry Kuroki until after registering the marriage. Johnny & Associates subsequently cancelled his nationwide tour and held him responsible for the expenses.
