Square Enix to Host Bittersweet Photo Event for Couples

Square Enix's Final Fantasy games are full of legendary romances... Rinoa and Squall from FFVIII, Yuna and Tidus from FFX... and this Christmas, they want to give couples a chance to canoodle for the camera at an official holiday photo event.
To commemorate the upcoming release of the Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster, Square Enix is holding a photo event on December 24 in Shibuya at the 1F Plaza of the Marui City shopping center. The event will have a professional photographer on hand to shoot photos of couples, which will be turned into posters that have the bittersweet message, "We are destined to someday part with the person most dear to us. That's why, right now, I feel like I want to hold dear someone who's next to me."
While the message is a little bit of a downer, it mirrors the message behind their depressing TV ad for Final Fantasy X/X2, which starts with the line, "The world is filled with parting..."
The HD remaster will be released for Playstation 3 and PSVita in Japan on December 26, and on March 18, 2014 in North America.
