Fan Builds Giant Optimus Prime to Propose to Girlfriend

posted on by Bamboo Dong

When it comes to wooing the girl of your dreams, sometimes you just have to go big or go home. That's the same conclusion Hebei resident Xushui Baoding came to when he decided to propose to his girlfriend, by constructing a giant Optimus Prime, modeled after a 1:70 figure, with moveable limbs that comes in at 8m (26') and one ton.

The project took ten months to complete, and required over 400 drawings, about 50,000 RMB ($8,262) worth of raw materials, and 40,000 rivets.

We hope she said "Yes."
