2D Girlfriends Go 3D in Girlfriend (Beta) Music Video

The Girlfriend (Beta) mobile game took part in the "Anime Red & White Singing Contest," a play on the yearly Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle). The music video debuted at the event on January 19 with voice actress Kikuko Inoue performing for 12,000 attendees in sync with the video. Inoue dressed as the main "girlfriend" in the video and the fans participated in the "Hey" call back heard in the song.
Girlfriend (Beta) got a follow-up game for female players titled Boyfriend (Beta). It racked up more than 150,000 pre-orders.
