Snow Brand Milk Products Presents the 2nd Season of Their Moe Coffee Mascot

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of Snow Brand Milk Products' line of coffee in April of 2013, the company announced the debut of their mascot, Yukiko-tan. Picked from a number of fan submissions, Yukiko-tan became the face of Snow Brand Milk Product's coffee. Since then, Yukiko-tan has appeared on a number of the company's products and been made into a 3D figure. On March 3 of this year, however, Snow Brand Milk Products has unveiled the "2nd Season" of Yukiko-tan.
The top six runner up designs for Yukiko-tan have been added to the boxes of Snow Brand Milk Products' coffee. These six will be printed on boxes of the coffee and sold in stores all over Japan as a "Special Package" Yukiko-tan. However, there can only be one Yukiko-tan. As such, Snow Brand Milk Products is putting out a contest to decide the names of the other characters. From now until 11:59PM on March 28, Snow Brand Milk Products' is asking for the help of its customers to give suggestions on the new names for the other six Yukiko-tans through the company's pixiv account.
The next phase of the 2nd Season of Yukiko-tan will be the formation and debut of the Yukiko-tan Idol Unit. Once this part of the campaign has been carried out, Snow Brand Milk Products intends to send the Idol Unit on a Japan-wide tour. Yukiko-tan cosplay idols have already made an appearance at last year's Summer Comiket.
