Fan Recreates Card Captor Sakura Opening in 3D

posted on by Bamboo Dong

Artist and Card Captor Sakura fan Tomo has painstakingly recreated the series' first opening theme animation using the 3D animation software, Blender.

Check out his completed video below, and be sure to stay until the end for a look at his rendering process.

For those who want a little more pop, he also created a stereoscopic 3D version, which can be viewed in true-3D using YouTube's many built-in 3D options. Viewers who don't have a pair of red/cyan glasses handy can set the video to cross-eyed stereo. To change the 3D display, click on the gear-shaped "settings" button on the YouTube video, and view the "options." Hint: look at the two white dots above the side-by-side videos, and cross your eyes until a third one appears in the middle; slowly refocus your eyes on the video below, and it will appear in 3D.
