Incredibly Hard Resident Evil Survival Game Announces Current Winners

posted on by Carlos Cadorniga

The notoriously difficult Japanese theme park survival game has recently announced its current "survivors", and they are not many.

The winners of Universal Studios Japan's "Resident Evil: The Escape" virtual reality game has only a handful of winners after 55 days of competition. Of the staggering 24,000 original participants in the game, only eight of them have survived the zombie onslaught until the end. This indicates a minuscule 0.003 percent survival rate among the competitors.

Based on the classic game series, the survival game equips players with a play machine-gun and a set of virtual goggles that immerse the player in a zombie-infested environment. The goal of the game is simple: survive without getting infected. Promoted with the foreboding line "Make sure the survival rate isn't zero", the game's reputably brutal difficulty has clearly made that a challenge. The game opened to the public on June 3.

Resident Evil, known as Biohazard in Japan, is a CAPCOM horror survival game franchise that follows an outbreak of zombies and the remaining humans' fight for survival.
