Most Beautiful Girls of Ultraman Now Available as Figures

The Ultraman merchandise is plentiful, but the full range of the series' monsters has not always been adequately represented. In particular, the shows' often stunningly gorgeous girls haven't always been available as figures. To rectify this shortcoming, the HG Ultraman figure series held an online beauty contest to determine which female monsters most deserved to be honored in miniature sculpture form. The contest noted that "there is a rumor of alien interference," and Alien Magma and Yapool heavily lobbied for their favorites.
The contest's winners were announced on October 1 on Bandai's shopping site, Premium Bandai. Sure enough, Alien Magma's favorite, the Space Crane Rolan (Ultraman Leo), came in first.
Second place went to Yapool in his woman form (Ultraman Ace), sporting a Noh mask and a cute dentist's outfit.
Aquarius (Ultraman Ace) took the bronze award for her fabulous hair, toga and shoulder flower.
Aprasar (Ultraman Ace) was honored with fourth place for her beautiful robes reminiscent of tennyo (an angel-like celestial being in Japanese mythology).
The figurines can be ordered on Premium Bandai for 8,800 yen (about $73) as a set. They range in height from 84 to 96 mm (3.3 to 3.8 inches). The estimated delivery date is February.
