Final Fantasy Type-0 Characters Do Some Spelunking in Game Crossover

March 19 marked the one-year anniversary of the release of Spelunker HD Z (Minna de Spelunker Z), the sequel to the HD remake of the classic cave exploration game Spelunker. It's also the one-year anniversary of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the HD remake for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One of the PlayStation Portable game Final Fantasy Type-0. Since both of these are Square Enix games, the developer decided a little crossover was in order.
Spelunker HD Z now has an event stage with a Final Fantasy Type-0 HD theme. Costumes are also available to let you play as Ace, Rem, or a Moogle. The crossover will last until April 13 and is free to play. There are other updates to Spelunker HD Z: a continuation of the fourth stage (Volcanic Cavern), a new character (Spelunko's older sister), and a new pet (the dog Kuro, who will become available if you log in every day).
A Final Fantasy Type-0 online game is scheduled for a release this spring.
