Enjoy JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Gut-Busting Meal at Tokyo Restaurant
posted on by Eric Stimson
Viewers of Episode 10 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable might find themselves salivating at the prospect of sampling the delicious (if unconventional) cooking of Tonio, the Italian chef. Residents of or visitors to Tokyo can recreate this episode, although hopefully with less dead skin flying around.
The restaurant, Saint FAUCON, is actually French, but is offering a meal for JoJo fans that imitates Tonio's offerings. The antipasto is a mozzarella and tomato salad. The spaghetti alla puttanesca accompanies a rack of lamb with apple sauce and asparagus. Flan is served for dessert. For the dishes with ingredients listed in the anime/manga, the preparation has been followed. Mineral water is the drink — from Naples, not the snows of Kilimanjaro. Diners can also opt for a three-wine set for 2,500 yen (or $23.50; non-alcoholic wine available).
The key difference? Unlike the original, the set course costs 5,555 yen (about $52). This is a reference to gogogogo, a common sound effect in JoJo's. (Go is "five" in Japanese.) Oh, and the restaurant also can't guarantee its food will cure athlete's foot.
Hungry JoJo fans, or just Italian food aficionados, should head to Hatagaya in Shibuya Ward, where Saint FAUCON is located on the first floor of Miyajima Building. Reservations must be made in advance (call 03-3465-7565). The restaurant's hours are 6 to 11 PM. It has not decided how long it plans to continue offering this meal.

普通の水ももちろん出てきました。パスタは辛いのが苦手なのに食べれば食べるほどもっと食べたくなってお腹が空いていくようで、食べ終わったらメッシャアーッでした。 pic.twitter.com/lvHIz9imWg
Gravure idol Chiaki Kyan enjoyed the meal and even claims she couldn't stop eating the pasta even though it was so spicy.
For a cheaper but still tasty alternative, JoJo fans can choose beef tongue Umaibō (Tasty Sticks) in August instead, which feature Okuyasu screaming "NMAAAAAI (tasty)!"
