Lion Voltron/Beast King GoLion Figure Listed From Soul of Chogokin

Beast King GoLion—better known in the west as Lion Voltron—will get a diecast metal figure from Soul of Chogokin. According to the product's Amazon Japan listing, the GX-71 Beast King GoLion features the five separate lions that can be assembled into a 27-centimeter (about 10.6-inch) figure. It will also come with weapons and a weapon stand.

Earlier this month, Tamashii Nations and Bandai released a teaser poster promising an official announcement at Comic-Con International. The convention will take place this weekend, July 21-24.

World Events Productions, Ltd. (WEP) and the late Peter O'Keefe adapted the first 1984-1985 Voltron television series from two Toei Animation robot anime: King of Beasts Golion and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV. The franchise has garnered a new fan following recently thanks to Netflix and DreamWorks Animation's reimaginging, Voltron: Legendary Defender, which began streaming on Netflix on June 10.
