NBA Draft Completes Its 'Generation of Miracles,' More Kuroko Characters Picked

Kuroko's Basketball character DAIKI Aomine and final Generation of Miracles member DAIKI Aomine was picked to join the Cleveland Cavaliers are part of the ongoing collaboration between the NBA and Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game. ANN readers guessed he'd be picked for teams ranging from the Portland Trailblazers to the New York Knicks. Staff officially commented that the Cavaliers were picked because of similarities between Aomine and Cavaliers player LeBron James.

The New York Knicks aren't forgotten by the Kuroko Basketball staff. On Friday the official account revealed that Yōsen's Tatsuya Himuro was also recruited onto a NBA team, showing that the collaboration will extend beyond the anime's lead characters.

Himuro was picked for the Knicks because of his origins. The character lived in America during his childhood and met Taiga Kagami at that time.

- Seijūrō Akashi is #004 for the Los Angeles Lakers
- Shintarō Midorima is #006 for the Boston Celtics
- Taiga Kagami is #010 for the Chicago Bulls
- DAIKI Aomine is #005 for the Cleveland Cavaliers
