ADV announces Queen Emeraldas on VHS, DVD

In a Thanksgiving press release, ADV Films announced its aquisition of Leiji Matsumoto's recent CG-endowed two-part OAV Queen Emeraldas.
"In the far future, when humanity has expanded into space and colonized the stars, pirates ply the space routes preying on the weak and helpless. Although herself branded a pirate by a tyrannical galactic government, the enigmatic Emeraldas sails the Sea of Stars like the privateers of old fighting those would destroy freedom with an amazing array of futuristic weapons and technology!" ADV expects a summer 1999 release on DVD and VHS, which will be only its second DVD release.
