News ADV, Others have new DVD plans
posted on 1999-02-28 00:00 EST
It's been a busy month in the new DVD section. AnimeOnDVD.com reports that ADV Films is putting the finishing touches on their first releases of back catalog titles: Legend of Crystania movie and Slayers: The Motion Picture. More on that as more information becomes available.
Central Park Media is gearing up to produce their first DVD title in-house: Urotsukidoji. The Perfect Collection will be subtitled-only, while the other parts remain to be seen. (The dubbed version of Urotsukidoji was cut quite a bit...)
Urban Vision, meanwhile, has announced plans to release their entire catalog on DVD at some point, although no dates or details were announced. They are no longer pursuiting rights that do not include DVD release, and some future titles may in fact be ONLY on DVD. (Apparently, their dubbing studio holds onto out takes, so these may be extras.)
Not every super hero gets an awesome robot, elemental powers to summon lightning, or can fly through the air due to sheer psychic will. No, some personalities probably aren't suited for the super hero role, but it's thrust upon them anyway, strange powers and all. 2013-05-25

Review
If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.
On the whole, The Battle for Doldrey is a mixed bag of strengths and weaknesses. While that may be true of most things, there are few places where those lines are so clearly drawn as in this film.
As long as the flavor of Japanese folklore is still there, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan has what it takes to stand out from all the other battle manga.
