Confirmation of Future AX in Japan and move to Anaheim.

Anime Expo is over, but ANN's coverage is far from over. While full coverage of the closing ceremonies will come later, here are the three most important things announced.

Rumours have been circulating for many months that Anime Expo was planning a convention in Tokyo in 2003. At the closing ceremonies Jennifer Pon, SPJA CEO & AX Chairperson, announced that there would be an Anime Expo in Japan in 2004. No other details were given, and there was no official mention of Tokyo, however several of the guests of honor stated in their closing comments that they would look forward to Anime Expo in Tokyo.

We've known for a while that AX 2003 would be held in Anaheim California, however it has not been clear where in Anaheim, at the Disney resort as in 2000, or the Anaheim convention center as in 1998 and 1999. Jennifer announced at the closing ceremonies that AX 2003 would occur at the fan favorite Anaheim Convention Center.

The final announcement was that the Charity Auction raised $27500 for the New York Time 9-11 charity fund.
