Anime gets boost from Japanese Government

Manga a main sector of Japanese exports
Animaxis posted today in a newsbrief that the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has anime and games industry as one of the main blocks around the Japanese export industry. This places the two industries in a category of importance similar to the manufacturing industry. A new research society has been established to expand the markets for anime and manga outside of Japan.
