Stone Bridge Anime and Manga Books for this Fall

Three new books on, or related to Anime, Manga to be released this fall

Stone Bridge Press has sent out a press release about it fall 2004 releases. Of particular note are Fred Patten's Watching Anime, Reading Manga: 25 Years of Essays and Reviews.

Watching Anime, Reading Manga: 25 Years of Essays and Reviews is a 360 page collection of reviews and essays written by Fred Patten over the past 25 years. One of North America's most eminent anime scholars, and the founder of North America's first anime club, Fred Patten's activities have been instrumental in building anime fandom in North America into what it is today. The book will include a foreword by Carl Macek and will be released in September.

Also of interest to Anime Fans, Cruising the Anime City, An Otaku Guide to Neo Tokyo by Patrick Macias and Tomohiro Machiyama is a guide to Tokyo's anime studios, toy stores, museums and numerous other sites that anime fans visiting Tokyo will want to see. With over 100 color photos and maps, this 144 page guide will be released in November for $16.95

Japanese the Manga Way: An Illustrated Guide to Grammar and Structure, by Wayne P. Lammers, is a guide to learning Japanese that illustrates ever grammar point with actual manga examples showing how the language is used in real life.
