Yamato and Star Blazers Streaming Online
posted on 2004-06-28 14:54 EDTMovielink announced today that they will be offering Yamato and Star Blazers for streaming download on their Internet video on demand service.
The first two seasons / series of Star Blazers ("The Quest for Iscandar," episodes 1-26, and "The Comet Empire," episodes 1-13) are now available on the Movielink VOD service. The third series, The Bolar Wars, along with Yamato Films such as "Space Battleship Yamato," "Farewell To Space Battleship Yamato: In The Name Of Love," "Space Battleship Yamato: The New Voyage," "Be Forever Yamato" and "Final Yamato" will be added later.
The Star Blazers videos are currently blocked into "videos" of 4-5 episodes for $4.99 per block. The Movielink service is only available in the United States.
This is not the first time a part of Star Blazers is offered online, the now defunct Toonami Reactor streamed Star Blazers: The Comet Empire back in 2001.
