If you are looking for a sensitive depiction of lesbians that strives for literariness, you have come to the right place. Creator June Kim delivers her quiet tale of friendship, love, and loss with nuanced, high-serious sensibility that looks a bit like an indie comic and a lot like a josei manga.

This double-disk sub-only release covers the rest of the second story arc and the beginning of the third. Although still a purely entertaining series at heart, it shows a greater capacity than its contemporaries to adapt to its story advancement and grow beyond its original parameters.

Death Note DVD 6
This quartet of episodes is substantially better than the four that preceded them, and it's nice to finally have the forgettable Yotsuba Group conspirators out of the way. Since the DVD ends on a convenient cliffhanger that will, arguably, culminate in one of the most shocking plot twists of the series thus far, faithful viewers will certainly not want to stop here.

Madlax DVD 2
This volume refocuses the story on its mystery elements, becoming a more involving tale than it was at first. Though it has yet to establish an identity separate from its predecessor Noir, it is now a recommended title, especially for fans of “girls with guns” and mystery genres.
