Viz Licenses Death Note Anime for Download
posted on 2007-01-11 14:39 ESTViz Media has signed an agreement with Nippon Television Network Corporation to offer the Death Note anime via digital downoad in America.
Although no release date has been announced, the episodes will be available in Download to Own and Download to Rent formats "soon after they air in Japan." This will be the first time that a major anime series will be available for legal download in America while it is still airing in Japan.
Details about the download process are not yet available. According to the press release, Viz "will seek to make the series available to consumers through a number of online providers."
