Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the public broadcaster NHK, and major private broadcasters are collaborating on a government-subsidized database of television drama, anime, and other programs. When scheduled to go live in 2008, the database will give overseas broadcasters easy access to information and contacts for Japanese programs they wish to import. The Japan Business Federation has a similar plan for music, movies, and games. Source: Nikkei via animeanime.jp
