News Tekkonkinkreet's Arias to Speak at Japanese University

Michael Arias, the director of Studio 4°C's Tekkonkinkreet, will speak in a "Director's Notes" lecture at Kyoto Seika University in Japan on March 17. Arias is the first foreign staffer of a Japanese animation studio to direct a major feature, and Kyoto Seika University is the first university to offer a degree program in manga. The free lecture in Japanese will take place on the university campus from 2:30 to 4:10 p.m., and the movie will screen on campus the day before. Source: The Japan Times
