Magi-Cu Magazine Ends After Six Years, 40 Issues

Enterbrain's Magi-Cu manga/novel magazine has ceased publication in volume 40 (on sale June 25). Several game, novel, and manga franchises in Magi-Cu (short for "Magical Cute") have been animated, including Bottle Fairy, Lovedol ~Lovely Idol~, Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru, and PetoPeto-san. Night Wizard's anime was just announced in this issue. Magi-Cu relied heavily on "reader-participation" stories—serialized stories in which reader polls determined the direction of future installments. The magazine ran from 2001 to 2003 as Magi-Cu Premium.
