Manga to promote romantic comedy anime adaptation

Posters on the Japanese 2ch board report that issue #32 (on sale July 9) of Japan's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced that the Super Dash Bunko romantic comedy light novel Kurenai will be remade as a manga. The Shueisha manga will cross-promote with the upcoming anime adaptation. Akamaru Jump magazine will preview the manga in August, and the new Jump Square magazine will serialize it in its first issue, which launches November 2.

Jump Square announced earlier that it will feature Kurenai's writer Kentarō Katayama and illustrator Yamato Yamamoto, but it has not confirmed that Yamamoto will drawn the manga. The two had previously worked on Denpa-teki na Kanojo novels, which features character crossovers with Kurenai. This work is unrelated to Toshimitsu Shimizu's Kurenai manga, which ComicsOne adapted as Red Prowling Devil.

Update: The official website of the Kurenai novel series has updated to confirm that Yamamoto will draw the manga. Thanks, dormcat.
