Satoshi Kon describes his creative process, future plans in online extra

Director Satoshi Kon (Tokyo Godfathers, Millennium Actress, Perfect Blue) describes his work experiences in an online interview for an August 20 BusinessWeek magazine feature on the future of work. His Paprika feature film played in theaters around the United States earlier in the summer.

In the interview, Kon discusses how he brainstorms ideas and develops them into full-fledged projects. He specifically describes how he went about adapting his most recent film, Paprika, from the original novel. He also mentions that he originally wanted to be a manga artist rather than an animator. "I don't have a dream. I just want to enjoy my work," says the director, who is already working on a new project.
