posted on by Mikhail Koulikov
Two-episode romance OVA due out on DVD in December 2007.

Production I.G has released an English-language description of their next project, a two-episode OVA series entitled Tokyo Marble Chocolate. It will commemorate the the 20th anniversary of the music company BMG Japan, and although featuring an original story, it is inspired by songs by two of BMG's artists. Tokyo Marble Chocolate will be the first work directed by Nayoshi Shiotani, with character designs by Fumiko Tanikawa. Kyoji Asano will be the animation director.

The OVA will show a love story from the points of view of both of the main characters. The first episode draws its inspiration from Japanese hip-hip artist SEAMO's song Mata Aimasyou, while the second is based on Zenryoku Syounen, by the j-pop duet Sukima Switch. Both SEAMO (real name: Takada Naoki) and the two members of Sukima Switch, Takuya Ōhashi and Shintarō Tokita, will have cameos in the anime. Tokyo Marble Chocolate will be released on DVD on December 5.
