Nagasaki Anime Film on Atom Bomb to Show in New York

The Nagasaki 1945 ~ The Angelus Bells film on the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, Japan will screen in New York City on October 25 at 1:00 p.m. ET in a hall in the United Nations Headquarters' library as part of the organization's Disarmament Week. Seiji Arihara's movie is based on a true story of a doctor who worked in the aftermath of the second nuclear bombing of World War II. Arihara also directed Raiyantsuuri no Uta (Song of Liang Chu Li), a film which acknowledged Japan's occupation of China and prisoner-of-war camps. Source: The Nishinippon Shimbun
