Wacom Japan Aims Graphics Tablet at Manga Artists

posted on by Egan Loo
The computer accessory manufacturer Wacom has announced Bamboo Comic, a tablet/software package for manga artists in Japan. Instead of Adobe Photoshop Elements and other photo-manipulation software that the existing Bamboo Fun package has been bundling, the Comic package will bundle the pixia painting program, the CG illust 4.5 paint program demo from manga supply maker DELETER, the Comic Studio Mini manga layout program, and the Comicworks manga creation program demo for new artists. Bamboo Comic will debut on November 16. Wacom sells the Bamboo tablet by itself and a localized Bamboo Fun package in North America, but has not announced plans for Bamboo Comic outside Japan.
