posted on 2007-11-28 13:33 EST
The February issue (on sale December 22) of Hakusensha's LaLa shōjo magazine will print the final 40-page installment of Sakura Tsukuba's Penguin Revolution romantic comedy manga. Six compiled volumes have been published so far in Japan, with one more needed to finish the series. CMX Manga will publish its fifth English-translated volume in January.
The story revolves around "Ryoko," a female high school student vice president who is actually Ryo, a budding male star in Japan's idol industry. A classmate named Yukari discovers Ryo's secret, but agrees to disguise herself as his male agent to help achieve his dreams.

The best thing about the grab bag of episodes on this disc is that there's probably something to suit most personal tastes—whether that taste runs from to intense philosophical drama to ... comical snowball fights.
If the moe phenomenon is so maligned, it's probably because there are very few titles that get it right. Strawberry Marshmallow is one that does.
But if the anime adaptation of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is crack, then, alas, the manga adaptation is like the mother of all hangovers—sans the high.
It casts no new light on, nor redeems, the uneven, often impressively idiotic content preceding it, however at times during this volume, Strawberry Panic is damned near a good series. Amazing.
This volume can only be described as down-
Read Astro Boy for fun or for history—not for philosophical enlightenment packaged as classic manga.
Some of the laughs are worth it, but it's getting more and more frustrating to see this story going nowhere.
