Gonzo's Parent to Launch Venture with Chinese TV Firm

GDH, the parent company of the Gonzo anime company and GDH International, has announced that it will launch a joint venture company in Shanghai, China with Shenzhen Leaguer DTV Co., Ltd. and its affiliate company Ningbo Success Multi-Media Communication Co., Ltd. The joint venture company, tentatively named Leaguer Gonzo Culture & Entertainment Corporation, will distribute Japanese media online in China.
The endeavor will start with Gonzo titles and other G.D.H. properties on the bbvod.net video distribution portal maintained by Ningbo Success. User will be able to watch those titles for a monthly flat fee. The new company also plans to enter the fields of digital TV broadcasting, merchandising, and animation production. The joint venture's announcement describes Leaguer DTV as the "largest digital TV system developer in China" and Ningbo Success as a subscriber video-on-demand operator for 30 million subscribers on both personal computers and mobile devices.
