Kurohime, Umi no Tairiku NOA Manga Launch Web Release

2 titles were orphaned by end of Monthly Shonen Jump, Comic BonBon

Masanori Katakura's Mahou Tsukai Kurohime and Akira T. Juki's Umi no Tairiku NOA + manga have restarted serialization online in Japan on Monday, after their respective print magazines folded earlier this year. Shueisha has begun serializing new chapters of the Kurohime supernatural romance comedy with the first chapter of the fourth story arc on the Jump Square magazine's website. The online manga service requires the Windows XP or Vista operation system for its proprietary browser. Viz began its English-language release of Kurohime in North America in September. The web serialization of this title was announced in the final issue of Monthly Shonen Jump, which ended in June and was replaced by Jump Square. Katakura launched a new superhero title called Pat-Ken (Patrol Dog) in the inaugural issue of Jump Square (on sale November 15.)

Kodansha has relaunched the Umi no Tairiku NOA + comedy adventure manga under the name Umi no Tairiku NOA x on its MiChao! manga distribution website. The manga's former home, Comic BonBon magazine, shut down in November. The MiChao! site requires registration to access the manga. The site is also hosting an interview with the author, who began the series in 1995.
