New AnimeWho Distributor Offers Joe vs. Joe DVD

A new DVD distribution label, Animewho, has begun listing a Joe vs. Joe DVD release for April 29. The 90-minute, three-episode volume is the first part of Futari no Joe, a 2003 six-episode spinoff video series (pictured at right) based on Asao Takamori and Tetsuya Chiba's Ashita no Joe boxing manga and anime classic. Shigeharu Takahashi, an episode director on Peach Girl and Slayers Next, directed, script-edited, and wrote the Futari no Joe work. Tom Devine, vice president of Animewho, informed ANN that Joe vs. Joe, the company's first anime release, will be dubbed in English.
