Tokyopop Licenses Tokko Manga from GTO's Fujisawa

Original story for police horror anime from AIC, Manga Entertainment

The ICv2 retail news source reports that Tokyopop will be publishing the three-volume Tokko manga by Tohru Fujisawa (GTO, Rose Hip Rose) starting this July. The 2004 manga focuses on a man who joins the Special Mobile Investigation Force to avenge his parents' violent deaths — deaths that may be part of a larger murder spree by inhuman creatures. Director Masashi Abe and the AIC studio animated Tokko into a 13-episode television series in 2006. Last year, Manga Entertainment released the anime version in North America, and America's Sci Fi Channel then aired the entire series.
