AnimeonDVD.com founder Chris Beveridge has announced on Monday afternoon that he decided to sell his news and community website to Mania.com, a website that bills itself as "the premiere online destination for fans of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror entertainment." Beveridge emphasized that he and his staff will remain with the website, and that it will be "business as usual just with a different look and a lot more support and infrastructure behind it." He also said the website will expand its coverage within the areas of anime and manga.
