Junot Diaz, the winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for fiction with his novel The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, praises Naoki Urasawa's Monster manga in his Famous Authors' Guilty Pleasures piece for Time magazine this week. Diaz describes the intricate premise of the suspense manga and adds, "Urasawa is a national treasure in Japan, and if you ain't afraid of picture books, you'll see why."
