Matt Lucas is New Addition to Imagi's Astro Boy Cast

Award-winning television and film actor Matt Lucas has become the latest big name cast addition to IMAGI's upcoming computer-animated Astro Boy motion picture. He joins Freddie Highmore, Nicolas Cage, Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy, Eugene Levy, and Kristen Bell. The film is set to open in the United States on October 23 of next year.

Lucas broke out playing one of the supporting characters in the British zombie spoof Shaun of the Dead, and has since gone on to roles in BBC's Little Britain television series, for which he also wrote episodes, and its Little Britain USA remake. At this point, it is not known specifically which character he will be voicing in Astro Boy.
