Resident Evil: Degeneration, Makoto Kamiya and Digital Frontier's computer-animated film adaptation of Capcom's Biohazard/Resident Evil game franchise, will ship on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in North America on December 30. The film takes place seven years after the main game storyline of the zombie horror franchise and reunites the characters Leon (Paul Mercier) and Claire (Alyson Court). The film features the ending theme song "Guilty" by Anna Tsuchiya (Nana, The Wings of Rean). Sony Pictures is streaming the movie's trailer from Comic-Con International 2008 on its official website.
The film made its world premiere in Japan last Saturday during Tokyo Game Show 2008. The New York City Horror Film Festival will screen the film on November 13, and Fangoria magazine will then host a free screening in Los Angeles on November 18.
